The dazzling soundtrack features ten original songs (five by Electric Light Orchestra’s Jeff Lynne and five by John Farrar), including such hits as “Magic,” “I’m Alive,” “All Over the World,” “Suddenly” and the title song “Xanadu.” And, reprising his role of nightclub owner Danny McGuire from 1944’s Cover Girl, Gene Kelly shines in what would become his final film performance.
